Overview

San Juan del Sur, once existing as a sleepy fishing village, transforming to become part of a transit route has become the main tourist destination on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua for surfers, cruise passengers, backpackers, ...  and families. Located 140 kilometers from the capital Managua, it is draped with small tight-knit communities nestled in rolling hills, cupping miles of beaches.
